Chandra – Big Hooks, Bigger Heart
Blending infectious power pop sounds and anthemic rock textures, Chandra's sound is placed somewhere between the cinematic uplift of Imagine Dragons, the glittery grit of The Killers, and the melody-driven style of Fountains of Wayne and The Posies. Their music is built for feel-good playlists, underdog moments, and late-night drives—where melody meets meaning and every chorus feels like a breakthrough.
Led by vocalist Chandra Nair – described by Muse Chronicle as “unquestionably one of the best vocalists of modern times” – the band delivers songs grounded in expressive depth, sincerity, and resilience. With bright guitars, massive choruses, and lyrics that speak to personal struggle and hope, Chandra creates a sound that’s as emotionally open as it is universally appealing.
Their single “Winners” has been praised as “a soaring, fist-pumping, scream-it-in-your-car-with-the-windows-down anthem” and showcases the band’s signature blend of energy and heart. The track joins a growing catalogue that has earned over 200k streams, 2,000+ global radio plays, and placements on Spotify’s Discover Weekly.
Since signing with Rexius Records in May 2025, Chandra has committed to releasing a new single every two months – each track expanding their mission to uplift and connect through music.
For fans of YUNGBLUD, Biffy Clyro, DREAMERS, Young the Giant, and power pop with arena-sized ambition – Chandra is your next essential listen.

HEAVEN ON EARTH - Industry Preview
LAUNCHING ON 16TH JAN 2025 VIA REXIUS RECORDS.
About this song: Throughout 2025 the band have been on a journey, writing, evolving, swaying in and out of genres, with some songs that are rockier, others than are more ballad-like and others that are so catchy that they borderline Pop. Under all this though the mantra and messaging remains consistent. The singles released in 2025 represent a band that are comfortable trying different things in order to hone their sound.
New single 'Heaven On Earth' represents a step forward for the band, with a sound that combines the best of everything 2025 had to offer; rockstar riffs and raw, rebellious vibes merged with catchy pop choruses and groovy breakdowns.
The band will also visually change gear, with the group moving back to traditional photography at the forefront after a stint of animé-inspired artwork.
PLEASE NOTE: the preview below is a very early mix

It's OK - Industry Preview
LAUNCHING ON 17TH OCT 2025 VIA REXIUS RECORDS.
About this song: Chandra returns with “It’s OK,” a high-octane pop-rock single that turns everyday pressure into collective release. The track pairs bright, punchy guitars with an instantly chantable “do-do-do” refrain and a simple truth at its core: it’s OK to not be OK.
Written by frontman Chandra Nair with Chris Wong and Mike Paul, “It’s OK” channels the band’s big-hook/big-heart DNA into a three-minute permission slip to breathe, shout, and move. The lyric leans into underdog resilience—ditching conformity, trusting your own timeline, and choosing joy in the moment.
Produced, mixed, and mastered by Elliot Vaughan, the single lands squarely between power-pop melodicism and modern rock lift. Vaughan also contributes drums, locking the groove to a tight, kinetic foundation that keeps the chorus soaring.
Based in Bristol, UK, Chandra has built a reputation for widescreen choruses and emotionally open songwriting—music made for late-night drives, feel-good moments, and screaming along with friends. Following their recent run of singles with Rexius Records, “It’s OK” sharpens the band’s mission: big hooks, bigger heart.

CHRISTMAS HUGS RE-LAUNCHES 28TH NOV
On Friday 28th November 2025 Bristol (UK) based pop-rock band Chandra release Christmas Hugs, a festive feast for the ears bursting with joy, good vibes and earworm melodies. Christmas Hugs delivers the cheeky, melody-driven pop-rock that has become synonymous with this band, fused with unashamed, unabashed festive sizzle and nostalgic nods to Christmas gold.
Don’t let that fool you though because in keeping with all of Chandra’s music there is a poignant message underlying the song, as frontman Chandra explains:
“My favourite thing about Christmas is the swell of joy and goodwill that spreads like a virus as soon as Halloween ends and runs all the way through to New Year’s Eve. It’s as if people give themselves permission to be more friendly, more charitable and more forgiving than they ever would be at any other time of year. We wanted to write a song that celebrates this wonderful transformation of the human spirit but also a song that acts like a great big Christmas hug in, and of, itself.”
Christmas Hugs will be released via Rexius Records.

Just With You - Industry Preview
LAUNCHING ON 15TH AUG 2025 VIA REXIUS RECORDS.
About this song: Just With You is an extremely emotional song that will connect with all kinds of people. This song is about those nostalgic moments that we all get that make us feel utterly content, safe and at peace. A melody from our childhood. The smell of a certain food that reminds you of your mum's cooking. The sound of the sea splashing against a shoreline. Lying in a meadow surrounded by flowers. Looking into someone's eyes and the first time you fell in love. These emotions... forever locked to our senses, are what make us human. Over the period of a lifetime we collect experiences and memories that ultimately make us who we are. They form our soul. And to think that at some point in your life you could meet the perfect person to share those things with... your soulmate... that is something truly wonderful.
This song has been a challenge for many reasons. For Chandra personally, he will openly admit that the process of writing the lyrics brought him to tears and he still wells up now listening to the song. The vocal performance was also a struggle, as Chandra tells us:
"I knew that this had to be the best singing I'd ever done because it had to be so real, so powerful and yet so vulnerable at the same time in order to convey these messages with authenticity. But when I wrote this melody I couldn't initially sing it because it's right on the range limit at both ends. I felt so much pressure to get it right but thankfully producer Elliott Vaughan coaxed it out of me in the end".
You can hear the final song below and would love to know what you think.
The music video is also shown below and will be available in 1x1, 4x5, 9x16 and 16x9 formats, in 15s, 60s, 90s and 120s cutdowns

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is it exactly that you want from a partner?
Chandra has worked tirelessly for the past 2 years refining his songwriting style, developing and building his brand and consistently releasing great songs to critical acclaim. All of this has been self-financed. Chandra and his band will continue to work hard in 2025, playing live as much as possible in order to build up the fanbase and bring money back into the fold via EP and merchandise sales. But self-financing can only get us so far. There is a glass ceiling and we will have reached it.
We need top level PR representation, respected, connected management and distribution partners in order to speak to top-tier music media, infiltrate big streaming Playlists, secure impactful radio playlisting, lock down great support slots and work with global distribution players.
We need help scaling up our success. It's not necessarily about finance either; we could take out business loans if we really wanted to and release everything under the Kick-Ass Media Group label (Chandra's VAT-registered music publishing company) but we simply don't have the necessary connections to maximise our success and make that investment worthwhile.
How self-sufficient are you?
We can record, produce, mix and master to a broadcast standard. But we are always open to new ways of working and new producers.
We can create social content to a high level and create music videos to a very high level. At the same time we're very good at creating impactful, memorable music videos on a low budget.
We have a rehearsal studio, all own our own gear and we all drive.
How commited are you?
All 3 of us are ultra commited. This is all we want to do. We are not teenagers. We have all done this before in other bands; we know what it takes, we have been through a lot and we are wiser and more mature for it... yet hungrier than ever. We know who we are and don't need to spend a decade finding ourselves.
Why don't you have more gigs booked?
We are trying to be smarter. We have no issues with playing lots and lots of small gigs but that doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. In 2025 we are scaling back on small, pointless gigs that soak up time and energy. Instead we are focusing on what can be fruitful, ie festivals, a school tour and releasing more music and video than ever before
